Solar Island Operator m/f
Offer:
This is an in-plant position with responsibility to operate the solar island. This
includes observation, control, and keep recordings of the operation of solar island with the solar field and HTF system as main plant sections as well as all auxiliary systems. The solar island operator ensures efficient operation and detects malfunctions as well as that operation is performed safely and within procedural compliance.

Tasks:
Monitoring and operation of the Solar Island via the distributed control system as well as a specialized solar field control system.
Ensure that thermal outputs are maintained at maximum levels and efficiencies.
Review routine operation requirements to determine what improvement
measures are needed for effective and reliable operations.
Record and compile operational data, completing and maintaining forms, logs,
and reports.
Assist in planning and coordinating outage related activities
Report abnormal or emergency plant conditions to the Maintenance and
Operation Manager.
Support the maintenance and operation manager to prepare the annual
operation and maintenance plan.
Maintain the plant operations manual.
Responsible for all maintenance services necessary to operate and maintain the solar field, including all associated and appurtenant mechanical and electrical components.
Requirement:
Education:
Requires an associate degree in technical field or equivalent
Languages:
Arabic, English, preferably with German.
Experience:
Requires (2 years) experience in control room operation in a power plant
Knowledge of in solar thermal power plant equipment including pumps, motors and other auxiliary equipment as well as Distributed Control System (DCS).
Willing to work in Desert areas.
Professional knowledge:
Experience required with resolving immediate problems
Strong people, technical, financial and computer skills, proficiency with
Microsoft Applications (MS-Office, MS-Project )
