Performance Manager m/f
Offer:
This is an in-plant position with responsibility for the overall efficiency and
performance of the solar island. This includes identifying heat rate gains/losses,
communicating those gains/losses to the Plant Manager on a daily and monthly
basis and most importantly working with maintenance and operations manager to
address problems as they are identified. Other responsibilities include maintaining
the performance evaluation software program PCTrough by ensuring all the
correct calculations and data inputs. Plant optimization as well as necessary
performance tests will be executed and planned by the performance manager.

Tasks:
Responsible for conducting engineering analysis and developing
recommendations to maintain and improve generating plant efficiency, reliability, safety, environmental compliance and cost performance
Responsible for preparing design calculations, life-cycle costs, and equipment
specifications for plant improvement projects
Responsible for implementation of strategic preventative and predictive
maintenance program for the facilities
Responsible for driving continuous business improvement through detailed
evaluation of plant performance, operating practices and maintenance
procedures
Responsible for working with the operations and maintenance manager and
providing technical support and direction to contractors and in-house supervisors.
Coordination of performance related clarifications with the Combined Cycle
responsible.
Preparation of fortnightly performance reports as well as technical evaluations of the solar island.
The overall performance of the solar island compared to the annual operation
plan.
Requirement:
Education:
Degree in engineering with emphasis on thermodynamics and heat transfer.
Languages:
Arabic, English, preferably with German.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of performance monitoring and efficiency improvement experience in power generation plants preferably with solar power plants.
Professional knowledge:
Understanding and execution of ( solar ) thermal performance assessments
Ability to train operations and maintenance personnel to improve their
understanding of how they can positively impact system and unit performance
Knowledge of performance monitoring software and performance testing
equipment/procedures
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and successfully take/direct appropriate action
Strong people, technical, financial and computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Applications (MS-Office, MS-Project, etc.)
