On behalf of our international successful client we are looking for a controller. The initial period is three month and the position is based in Darmstadt.
Task & Requirements
• Solves complex problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment.
• Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes and services.
• Is recognized as an expert within the discipline and beyond with a limited number of peers within the same technical area in the business
• Serves as best practice resource within own discipline or as technical expert on cross-functional teams or projects.
• Has in-depth organizational and relevant market knowledge and uses understanding on how relevant areas can be integrated to achieve objectives.
• Relevant business and result impact.
• Creating and interpreting target/ actual comparisons and advising others by explaining complex content.
• Analyzing and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements focusing on commenting and interpretation.
• Developing, defining the format and providing business and financial analyses and reports for management in collaboration with the responsible department controllers and CMG.
• Carrying out controlling for a particular region, country, division, business unit or project. This may include a certain degree of supervisory responsibility.
• Supporting the creation of business plans for financial assessments and plausibility checks.
• Supporting input to strategic and operational planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Performing consolidation.
• Supporting investment planning and liquidity planning.
• Creating and documenting improvement potential, creating guidelines and directives; identifying potential improvement based on best practices and knowledge of internal/ external business challenges.
• Managing of activities for database, master data, and value chain maintenance.
• Supporting on creating controlling reports and business analyses acting as a developed expert with sound professional knowledge.
• May collaborate on strategy development and with regard to strategic projects.
• Instructing team members.
• Advising the operational business with respect to financial benefits and risks of acquisition targets, collaborating in the respective M & A projects.
