I could really use the donation for him.
He needs a lot of food every month, a good quality of dry food which costs around 60 euros/15kilos. Meltemi needs two packages of dry food per month. He needs to be checked in the vet again. I think there is something wrong with his ears now, hopefully not serious.
He needs spots for the ticks and a lot of vitamins. As you can see, the expenses are too many.
I am sending you new pictures of him.
I will keep you informed.
Regards
Rania
Hello
Meltemi is living in my friend s house for a few days. I dont know for how long he can keep him there. But we try to find him a foster place even for some weeks. Its really difficult though.
The pension costs 120e per month and we cant afford it at the moment.
Meltemi was operated for the tumor and he was under treatment for erlichiosis and scab.
He needs to go to the vet to be checked again in a few days.
I got him back very thin because he refused to eat while he was in the clinic.
Now, he eats more than one kilo dry food per day
The vet told me that he is old, more than 5-6years but its impossible to know for sure.
He is getting better day by day.
Me and my friend can touch him, he comes near when we call him (we named him Blanco) and there are times that he wants to play with us.
He does not like to be on the leash and he is still afraid. His tail is hidden between his back legs almost all the time, especially when he is close to people.
He seems as a very nice dog and he is not angry with other dogs, at least so far.
It takes at least one month for the dog to get used to his new place and show his real character.
So I think its too early for me to speak for sure about his character.
